Age: 20 Appearance: Picture History: https://finalfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Tifa_Lockhart Personality: Positive Trait: -Motherly Unknowingly, Tifa had become more of an empathetic and motherly person to those around her. When she was young, and after her mother died, she was taught how to cook and sew by the other women in the village, trying to be there for her when her mother no longer was. Because of the pain she endured growing up, the loss made her realize just how much she cares about others, and how awful it feels to ever put someone else in a position she was in. Thus, she cares so deeply about those around her, always putting them ahead of her, and trying her best to solve any problem or conflict. Even when Tifa hadn’t seen Cloud for so long she had known something was off with him, and her care for him was evident in how she danced around topics, seeing how much distress it put Cloud in. Even in the earlier times when Cloud and Barret would argue with one another, Tifa would step in and resolve the conflict in her own way, either by changing the topic or by providing her own solution. When Cloud was mad about the amount of money he needed for a job, Tifa was able to take him out of the area and talk to him one on one, getting him to understand that they didn’t have much money- but she would promise to get him some more. Negative Trait: -Insecurity The biggest negative trait that Tifa developed in her early years came from after her mother died. She used to be quite the outgoing girl, confident in herself, until she was eight years old. Once her mother died she seemed to retreat into herself, and every move she made made her feel more like she was worthless, and nothing was in the afterlife. She was empty inside from losing her mom, and her self worth had begun to plummet. Now, she knows that she’s an attractive person, and that didn’t help with feeling good about herself. Soon her younger male friends tried to hit on her, and she didn’t want any of that and quietly said nothing, afraid of hurting their feelings, which was described in the novel about her. She now often compares herself to other people, never knowing what she might say could end up in another awful result. Tifa has always felt overly empathetic and caring for people, and because of how much she cares she puts themselves over her happiness. She is quite the motherly figure, especially seen with how soft and gentle she tries to be with Cloud, afraid that she would wreck his mind if she suddenly told him any sort of real memories. Due to this, she is quite the thinker, choosing to listen and try and come up with the best possible solution for all. When Aerith came into the picture, she did feel jealous since she had been getting close to Cloud, insecure that she would lose him due to someone else who seemed much more bubbly and happy, and way more confident than Tifa found herself to be. Once she finally understood Aerith and got to know her, she pushed that jealous feeling down, wanting to become a friend of this girl. Negative Trait: -Vengeful Tifa’s need for revenge came from the trauma she endured when her village was burned down as a teenager. She had always been so kind and caring, sometimes a little hot headed with others, but always ready to help. However, when Sephiroth attacked Nibelheim and killed so many people, including her father, she saw red. She grabbed for Sephiroth’s sword that had been left behind, and she tried to attack him, even if she knew she was no match for him. She needed to kill him, she needed revenge. Because she charged at him, though, he nearly killed her when he sliced her chest clean open. Even when she was on the ground, bleeding out, she refused help from Zack, stating Shinra and anyone from it were monsters. She hated Shinra, she hated SOLDIER, she needed revenge. From this incident came her need for vengeance against Shinra for what they did. She then found other like minded people who understood the pain of what Shinra was doing to people, and to the planet. She then formed Avalanche with her friends, what was considered to be an eco-terrorist group, all so that they could get back at Shinra. Tifa felt awful about the things they had to do, feeling trapped when innocents might be hurt, but she also knew what needed to be done to hit Shinra where it majorly hurt. Negative Trait: -Recklessness Tifa knows that her recklessness has gotten her into trouble before, but when it comes to her beliefs, she simply cannot turn her back on what she knows and must see through her goals. The first act of this was when she was but a child, having ran away to Mt. Nibel in order to search for her mother, despite being told how dangerous it was. Due to her recklessness back then, she refused to turn back and thus caused herself and Cloud to fall off a cliff. She then became injured, and that started what seemed to be a small rift between Cloud and Tifa when they were children. Now as an adult, she had heard that some girls were in need of help, having been taken to Don Corneo’s mansion, where he was looking for another woman. Knowing of her looks and how easy it would be to get in, Tifa put on a dress and made herself a target. It wasn’t the best idea but she knew she could handle herself if she got caught. She wanted to protect those girls even if it meant putting herself in danger. She is the sort of person who put others before her, but to the point it can be damaging for herself. Powers and Abilities: Martial Artist Tifa was taught at a young age by her mentor, Zangan, and he taught her the powers she has today. Through her sheer strength and determination, she now has stamina that far surpasses even Cloud, climbing up a Shinra staircase like it was nothing, and muscle to back it up.
